  1. Congratulations on the well-deserved attention your book is receiving. I’m so glad you’re with the wonderful people at Kristell Ink who love your book like it was their own. That’s what every author deserves to have – publishers who believe in their work and who want it make it shine.

You’re so right about reviews. They’re very important, not only to readers, but to authors as well.

    • Ah, thank you Tricia, yes talk about two exact opposite experiences! Wow!

Absolutely and I’m very guilty of doing it, or not doing it myself. I have loads of books that I absolutely love that I need to do reviews on, including yours and Sammy’s books! Lol, so I know I’m dreadfully slow…but watch this space! 😀 xxx

  2. I wish I still had the comment I left on authonomy, quoting samples of your sparkling descriptions of sceneries. Thing is, I’m a slow reader, and professional material has still priority. And editing my second novel. I’ll come back to the new edition of White Mountain, in time 🙂 I think it’s wonderful that Kristell Ink re-published and re-packaged the story in a way it deserves. Your perserverance, which I admire, was well worth it – congratulations. I wish you and your writing ongoing success.

    • Oh sweetie, thank you. Ashen, you know all too well the role that luck and plays in getting your work out there and in the best form possible. I look forward to seeing your grand opus, CoM beautifuly published and sitting on bookshelf! It WILL happen! Thank you, Ashen, your wonderful words of encouragement and support have been precious. 😀 xxx

And your book is now right at the top of my TBR pile – I’m hoping to get to it before the start of the new term at Northbook!

Ooo look at you! Lovely job! So glad things are going well. What you say about reviews is also very true. I have no idea why anyone would buy them. It must feel so hollow. Also re the comedy person… I had a one star review the other day from someone who was obviously expecting hard sci fi based on existing science, rather than things which boffins have told me are theoretically possible… Mostly at dinner parties or while I’m being corporate wife to McOther.

Anyway, good going, onwards and upwards me dear.

    Cheers

    • Ah, thank you sweetie! Yes, I know it’s insane isn’t it? Why anyone would want to pay for a review, it’s hardly going to be an accurate or impartial review so what’s the point? Cheating readers is never the way to go…

Lol, yes it was strange, it wasn’t a bad review but just very odd. The person read the entire thing as a comedy and while there is some lighter comedic banter between two of the characters at the beginning, the book itself is much darker than that. Hey ho, just have to take it on the chin. Thanks honey! 😀

Congrats on your moving forward and a new publisher; esp the number of visitors to your blog.

    • Many thanks DM Yates, that’s very kind of you sweetie. Yes, even after a bad start there’s always light at the end of the tunnel! I’m a big believer in second chances too! 😀
