In the absence of a guestĀ blogĀ today, I thought I’d bring you the contents of myĀ Writing 101Ā (tips)Ā page, just in case you’ve not explored this site (there’s a lot to see). Regardless of how much you’ve written (for me over 400 short stories / flash fiction, a bit of poetry and seven novels), we can all still learn. Let me know (in the comments box below) what struck a cord with you and if you have any tips of your own, please add those too and I’ll include them on theĀ Writing 101Ā (tips)Ā page, credited to you of course.

Also seeĀ Exercises,Ā IdeasĀ andĀ SentenceĀ starts, and for those living in the UK, I shall be running someĀ Northampton WritingĀ CoursesĀ from January 2014. Anyway, on to the reason for this page…

At 5am on Wednesday 24th October 2012, I woke up to a message from my Facebook…

Post-weekend Poetry 063: The Silver Chalice by Sophie E Tallis

Post-weekend Poetry 063: The Silver Chalice by Sophie E Tallis.

Without boring you all, I’m just posting this quickly as I’ll be off my blog for a little while…been struck down by an acute bout of damn labyrinthitis which basically means I can’t drive, walk or evenĀ stand without getting violently dizzy and throwing up. It also meansĀ that IĀ can’t use my laptop for more than the briefest of moments without covering it in a very unpleasant layer of human chutney! šŸ˜›

…I’ve heard about suffering for your art but this is ridiculous!

Anyway, the lovely Morgen Bailey http://morgenbailey.wordpress.com/ has posted a piece of my poetry http://wp.me/p18Ztn-5RbĀ on her spectacular blog which I HIGHLY recommend for anyone even vaguely interested in writing and reading to visit!

šŸ™‚ xx

Oh and my poetry piece is also featured on Indie Authors http://paper.li/jcx27/1320459836?edition_id=a6e3c8d0-7faa-11e2-b61a-0025907210e8#!stories

Sleep tight my lovely world wideĀ webbers and I hope to join you soon when I’m not green about the gills! 😦

Wow! My fifth interview!!!

It’s been less thanĀ two weeks since the publication of my debut novel, White Mountain – Book 1 of The Darkling Chronicles, and what aĀ wondrous whirlwind it has been, with hardly a moment to catch breath!

I guess that’s symptomatic of life really. Remember of the old saying about waiting for a bus then three come along at once?

Well, I’ve been in the very VERY fortunateĀ positionĀ of having been on the most magical bus ride in recent weeks, with a few bumps in the road, the occasionalĀ pit stop and some breathtaking views along the way…not to mention the magical destination!

So, I must share with you (a few days late I’m afraid)Ā the wonderful interview I did with the multi-talented writing powerhouse that is Morgen Bailey.

For those of you unfamiliar with Morgen with an ‘e’ Bailey, you simply MUST check out her amazing writing blog/website: http://morgenbailey.wordpress.com

An astonishing site and resource for writers of any genre. The multi-talented interviewer extraordinaireĀ showcases poetry, short stories, flash fiction, competitions, forums, events, submission info., writing exercises,Ā  author spotlights, blog interviews, writing tips, podcasts you name it! An emporium of everything a writer and reader could possibly want.

Where Morgen finds the time, I have no idea.

As frequent visitors to my blog will know, IĀ really struggle on a daily basis to juggle the demands of life, work, writing and promoting…just never enough hours in the day!

So, sit back for a moment, relax, make sure that coffee or tea is piping hot and you’re nicely snuggled with your arrangement of cushions, for myĀ 5th interview and Morgen’s no.512!!! Wow!

Check it out guys: http://morgenbailey.wordpress.com/2012/10/06/daily-interview-no-512-with-writer-sophie-e-tallis
